Irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome ( IBS) is a common condition that affects the digestive system. IBS is a mix of belly discomfort or pain and trouble with bowel habits: either diarrhea or constipation or having a different kind of stool (thin, hard, or soft and liquid). It’s usually a lifelong problem.

People with IBS have symptoms that can include:
Food intolerance
• Diarrhea (often violent episodes of diarrhea)
• Constipation
• Constipation alternating with diarrhea
• Belly pains or cramps,
• gas or bloating
• Harder or looser stools than normal
• A belly that sticks out
• Mucus in the stool
• Persistent urge to stool after bowel emptying
• Tiredness
• Anxiety
• Heartburn and indigestion
Depression
Headaches
• Strong urge to urinate
