Urticaria

Urticaria (Hives) is one of the most common skin diseases. Doctors summarize a group of diseases of the skin under the term urticaria. All forms of hives have a certain reaction pattern of the skin in common, namely the development of wheals and/or deep swellings under the skin or mucous membrane (so-called angioedema). The most common form is acute urticaria. This skin rash occurs in about one in five people at least once in their lives.
