Black tea is a fermented tea and is considered a semi-luxurious product. It contains tannin that has a partially stimulating effect. Black tea irritates the mucous membrane of the intestine, and so the permeability of the intestine is increased to food. Therefore, the consumption of black tea represents an impediment in the healing of the intestine. Experience shows that avoidance of black tea has a positive effect, at least in the first eight weeks of the diet change. Therefore, the avoidance of black tea is recommended even if no reaction is shown by the test. If black tea is drunk during the meals, the organism absorbs less iron, because iron is not easily dissolvable by tannic acid.
