Pear

Pears are processed to dry fruits, canned food, fruit wine, cider, brandy, liqueur, drinks and nectar. Pears can be found in bread spreads, jams and jellies.
One can also make sweetening agents such as the pear thick juice and the pear herbs out of pears. These sweetening agents can be contained in many products where they replace sugar (above all in products which can be found in health or natural food store). Before purchasing, you should read the list of ingredients. Other fruit sorts are offered as alternatives.
Possible cross reaction: Pears have common allergenic structures with birch pollen, namely the so called Bet V1-allergen. If one reacts allergic to birch pollen or is sensitive to it, allergic reactions are possible if one consumes pears.
