Crohn’s Disease

Crohn’s Disease belongs to a group of conditions known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). It is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and can lead to abdominal pain, severe diarrhoea, fatigue, weight loss and malnutrition. Most commonly, Crohn’s affects the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine. However, the disease can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus.
