Shrimp, prawn

The shrimp resembles a little lobster. Its meat is more delicate than that of the lobster’s and it tastes outstanding. It is rich in calcium, phosphor and iron.
If you have an allergy type III to shrimp, we recommend you to also avoid other crustaceans (lobster, crab, crawfish).
Possible cross reaction: Shrimps belong to the so called invertebrates and are high in tropomyosin, the main allergen of the dust mite. You can react to shrimps without ever having eaten one if you are sensitised to dust mites. You can find alternatives to shrimps as well as other kinds of invertebrates when extending the ImuPro Basic to ImuPro Complete.
