Glucose metabolism means, that ingested carbohydrates which are broken down into simpler sugar molecule are converted to glucose. The glucose then flows through the blood to provide energy to the cells. The glocose metabolism refers to the cellular processes by which energy contained in the foods that we eat is made available as fuel for the body.
